NOMINEES ANNOUNCED FOR THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER’S
 36th ANNUAL KEY ART AWARDS


--Competition Honors Excellence in Movie Marketing--
--Winners will be Revealed on Friday, June 15th at the Beverly Hilton--

(May 16, 2007 – Los Angeles) - The Hollywood Reporter today announced the nominees for the36th annual Key Art Awards - the only competition in which working professionals honor their peers for designing and creating motion picture marketing materials.  This unique awards show features 34 categories including posters, trailers, TV spots, print, outdoor, Internet, home entertainment and co-branded advertising.  This year’s Key Art Award winners will be announced on Friday, June 15th at the Beverly Hilton with actor-comedian Rob Corddry serving as host of the event.

For the second year in a row, Lionsgate Entertainment leads the pack of releasing studios with 22 nominations, followed by Disney and its Buena Vista Pictures distribution arm with 14 nominations.  On the agency/vendor side, Trailer Park earned 14 nominations, while Craig Murray Productions came in second with 11 nominations.

The movies up for the most awards this year are “Little Miss Sunshine,” “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest,” and “Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.”  These three diverse films each received 7 nominations.

Below is the full list of the 36th annual Key Art Award nominees.  Nielsen Research Group administered and tabulated the ballots, and will also determine the winner in each category.

“Now in its 36th year, the Key Art Awards is the premier event for the movie marketing community, and as always we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to honor the creative individuals who generate the eye-catching promotional materials that help drive movie attendance and DVD sales,” says John Kilcullen, Publisher of The Hollywood Reporter.  “There is no other awards show like the Key Art Awards, and this year’s event promises to be as fun and irreverent as ever.”

The Key Art Awards attracts more than 1.500 executives and creative professionals from all of the major studios and ad agencies.  This year’s sponsors include: APM Music, Corbis, Crew Creative Advertising, The Los Angeles Times, Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions, and Weston Mason Entertainment Advertising.

This year’s awards committee received a record breaking 1,452 submissions and 442 movie advertising and marketing professionals served as judges to view and rank the entries. Judging took place at the Pacific Design Center, and the eligibility period for entries was January 2006 to December 2006.
