MGM
Premiere is First and Only Consumer Makeup Line Created by a Major Studio
LOS ANGELES, July
12 -- For more than 80 years, MGM has symbolized Hollywood glamour,
transforming women into legendary icons, including Greta Garbo, Jean
Harlow and Judy Garland, to name a few. MGM Consumer Products is bringing
that sense of Hollywood allure and glamour to consumers by sharing its
tools of the trade. MGM recently launched MGM Premiere Cosmetics on
QVC and is now selling the initial product, a long-lasting foundation,
online at http://www.mgm.com/cosmetics.
MGM Premiere is
the first and only makeup line created by a major studio. "The
MGM name equals the Hollywood experience in the minds of millions of
families," said Trish Halamandaris, Vice President of Worldwide
Marketing for MGM Consumer Products and Interactive. "We decided
to bring that feeling of glamour established by the great MGM starlets
home to consumers with the creation of MGM Premiere, and are confident
that our products are indeed indicative of the timeless quality and
style the MGM brand represents."
The foundation comes in four shades; Ivory, Beige, Walnut and Espresso,
and is available for $27.50 (not including shipping and handling). Cheri
Minns, a famous award-winning make-up artist with more than 25-years
of make-up experience, helped develop the line for MGM and is serving
as the line's spokesperson. The foundation formula is designed to provide
a flawless finish that doesn't rub off easily on clothing.
Other MGM Premiere
products are in development including an eye kit (with brow liner and
eye shadow) and a face kit (with cheek color).
