Subsequent to last Wednesday's emergency hearing on the request for a temporary restraining order to lift the MPAA screener ban, the following heads of specialty divisions of major film studios have been subpoenaed to appear on Wednesday a.m.: Harvey Weinstein, president, Miramax Films; Michael Barker and Tom Bernard, co-presidents, Sony Pictures Classics; David Linde and James Schamus, co-presidents, Focus Features; Bingham Ray, president, MGM-United Artists.

WHAT: An evidentiary hearing before U.S. District Chief Judge Michael B. Mukasey, United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, preparatory to ruling on the Motion for Temporary Restraining Order, enjoining the MPAA from implementing its mandated ban on the promotional distribution of screener tapes by MPAA signatory distribution companies and their subsidiaries: The Walt Disney Company, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Paramount Pictures Corporation, Twentieth Century Fox Film Corp., Universal Studios, and Warner Bros.
